Top 4 Nature Parks to Visit in California

California is known as the Golden State, with its fantastic nature parks adding to its sparkle. With so many choices open to you, it’s understandable that you’ll have a difficult time picking a park to visit. Let us help you make the most of your ESTA visa with our list of the four best California national parks.

Death Valley National Park

Despite the name, this park is thriving with colors and activity. Located in eastern California, it’s brutally hot during summer but temperate in the early spring and winter. The Valley plays host to the Badwater Ultramarathon every year. Thousands of runners join the 135-mile run every July. If camping is more your speed, you can take advantage of the nine campsites scattered across Death Valley.

Joshua Tree National Park

Named after the Joshua tree, the park is renowned for two things – its crystal-infused boulders and star-filled sky. The place is a haven for rock climbers and budding astronomers. Joshua Tree Park is the perfect place to do some stargazing. The air is fresher than in the cities, and with virtually no humidity, you’ll have an unobstructed view of the Milky Way. Schedule a trip anytime from October to November to catch the Orionids, Leonids, and Geminids, respectively.

Redwood National Park

Redwood Park is famous for Hyperion, the world’s tallest tree. While its fellow giants surround it, it stands far above them at115.7 meters tall. Visitors can enjoy a day walking the Tall Trees Grove path or the Ladybird Johnson Grove trail at the park’s southern area. For those who want to stay longer, Redwood Park boasts of four campsites. There are also cozy lodgings to be found in the towns of Klamath, Orrick, and Requa.

Yosemite

Yosemite is one of California’s most beloved nature parks. Located 200 miles east of San Francisco, the park is open the whole year and offers visitors a wide range of activities. You can go hiking, fishing, rafting, and rock climbing during spring and summer. While many of the hiking trails and park roads are either inaccessible or closed during winter, people still head to Yosemite for some cross-country skiing.

California is an excellent way to get a realistic feel of the country. So grab your ESTA visa and head out to this glorious state.

3 Ways To Avoid Having Your ESTA Application Denied

If you are filling out an ESTA so you can travel, the last thing you want is to have it end up in the trash pile. There are many errors people make that lead to a denial and it is important that you avoid making them. Here are three ways to increase your chances of your application being approved.

1. Verify Your Passport Expiry Date

This is essential since you are not allowed to travel on dates that your passport would be expired. If you fill out your application and the dates you request exceed the date on your passport, it is an automatic denial. You will save a great deal of time and trouble when you apply if you make sure your documents are corrent beforehand.

2. Omitting Information

All of the information requested needs to be added on the form. If you accidentally skip a field, this will lead to a denial. The best way to avoid this is to reread the entire document carefully after filling it out. You do not want to be forced to submit the entire application over because of a simple oversight.

3. Accidentally Clicking Yes

There are some questions on the application that are intended to keep people from entering who may pose a threat to national security. If anyone checks the yes box when filling out this section, it will lead to an automatic disqualification. Even if you do this by accident, it will result in your ESTA application being denied.

If you plan to travel and are applying for a visa, it is imperative that you are careful during the process. Making any of the errors that were mentioned above means that it is likely your document will end up in the trash pile and you will not be allowed to travel via this means.
