Unique Festivals in Canada That You Shouldn’t Miss

Canada is one of the beautiful places on earth that you should visit. With its majestic nature, splendid culture and the festivities that it can offer, definitely it should be one of your travel bucket lists. If you have any plans to visit Canada, you shouldn’t miss out on these unique festivals.

Dine Out Vancouver Festival

The festival starts from January 19 until February 4 in Vancouver, and whether you are a gourmand or not, this 17-days of the beautiful culinary affair is something that everyone can enjoy and satisfy your cravings.

This exceptional festival includes more than 40 gastronomic events, and you can enjoy guided dining adventures, wine brunches, neighborhood food tours, and cocktail classes. Not only you get to enjoy Vancouver, but you also get to taste the food that they can offer.

Boardwalk Ice on Whyte

If you are a fan of ice carvings, then you can enjoy this festival in Edmonton on January 25-28 and February 1-4. It features internationally-acclaimed ice carvings by professionals that you and your loved ones can enjoy.

The festival is open for all countries across the globe, and not only that, but you can also enjoy their locally brewed drinks at the ice bar such as spirits and beers. If you are interested, the festival also offers an ice carving lesson to their visitors during the weekends.

The Great International World Championship Bathtub Race

The city of Nanaimo in British Columbia was known to held festivities such as the Nanaimo Marine Festival and the eccentric Great International World Championship Bathtub Race since 1967. The festival that starts from July 20 until 22 features the 36-mile bathtub race that starts from the Strait of Georgia and finishes at the Nanaimo’s Maffeo Sutton Park.

The event is competitive, though it may seem to be nonsensical, as most of the participant’s bathtubs have eight horsepower motors that cost thousands of Canadian dollars. You can get to enjoy the fun day out cheering for those tub racers, and there’ll be food stalls, fireworks, and live music!

Traveling is not only about visiting the attractions, but also to experience one’s culture. One way to do it is by joining their festivities and get to appreciate what Canada can genuinely offer. If you need help in getting a Kanada ETA, you can visit the site.
